This presentation will detail how these standards affect hospitals; how you can use less energy; and how you can be in compliance in the new acoustical standards while improving your HCAHPS exit survey scores.
Speaker
Jeff Boldt- Jeff is a Principal and the Director Engineering at KJWW Engineering. He is a licensed Professional Engineer with over 30 years experience in mechanical and acoustical design. Jeff leads both the Innovation and Quality initiatives at KJWW.
Jeff is a voting member of ASHRAE’s 90.1 Energy Standard and a member of ASHRAE 189.1 Standard for the Design of High Performance Green Buildings. Jeff is an author of the Advanced Energy Design Guide (AEDG) for Small Healthcare Facilities, and the AEDG for Large Hospitals.
Jeff is a LEED accredited professional and received High-performance Building Design Professional accreditation in the first test that ASHRAE offered.
Jeff is a frequent commenter on ASHRAE Standards 62.1 – Ventialtion for Acceptable Indoor Air Quality; and 170 – Ventilation of Healthcare Facilities.
Jeff had articles published in 2012 in the ASHRAE Journal (How 90.1-2010 Will Affect Healthcare Facilites) and Engineered Systems (Acoustical Issues in Healthcare).
