Scholarship

The St. Louis Chapter of ASHRAE offers two scholarships each academic year:

The General Chapter Scholarship is intended to target students currently in attendance and continuing education at universities within our territory. There is no limit to number of applicants awarded, and awardees will be evaluated based on their application responses.

The P. Gordon Glunt Memorial Scholarship is an endowed scholarship intended to target students outside of the St. Louis market and encourage them to work here after graduation. Award of this scholarship requires applicant to have accepted a position within the heating, ventilation, air-conditioning, or refrigeration industry in the St. Louis regional area. This scholarship is awarded to one individual meeting this criteria in addition to their application responses.

The STL Chapter also encourages any undergraduates interested in the HVAC&R industry to apply to the ASHRAE society’s 50+ available scholarship opportunities, which are due December 1st of each year. Through its scholarships, ASHRAE seeks to motivate students and prospective students worldwide to pursue a career in the HVAC&R field. The Society’s Scholarship Program also serves the public interest by aiding in the education of men and women to become qualified to practice as engineers in HVAC&R.
