The Young Engineers in ASHRAE group continued their stellar lineup of events with an Oktoberfest happy hour!
Held at Urban Chestnut in the Grove, the 70,000 square foot, LEED Silver Brewery & Bierhall served as the perfect location to catch up with old friends and make new connections, all while paying homage to the festival of Oktoberfest. The October Happy hour was the first YEA event to be officially open to the entire chapter. There was a strong turnout of around 35 attendees, with over 10 of the attendees being non-YEA chapter members or potential new members. Mike Kearney, past Chapter Historian and frequent ASHRAE attendee, commented, “ASHRAE Happy Hours at craft breweries are the kind of civic involvement that I like to support… the beer, food, and company were all outstanding.”

All future YEA events will be held on the 3rd Wednesday of the month barring special circumstances, so be sure to block out the 3rd Wednesday of each month to attend our future events!
