SUBMIT YOUR PROJECT!
Each year, ASHRAE asks its members to submit projects for the Technology Awards. These awards are intended to acknowledge and showcase innovative designs which incorporate ASHRAE standards for effective energy management, indoor air quality, and good mechanical design.
If you think your project has what it takes, fill out the short entry form (CLICK HERE FOR ENTRY FORM) and follow the directions included. This year’s due date is March 6th, 2015. Submissions should be emailed to Chad Adler at chad.b.adler@jci.com.
If you have never submitted a project for a Technology Award, don’t worry! The process is simple and can be rewarding for both you and your client. The entry form consists of basic project details (name, location, study/design period, etc), a short narrative (2 pages max) addressing each of the judging criteria, and a basic system schematic. That’s it!
As for the reward, Chapter winners will have the opportunity to present their project at the April Chapter dinner meeting and your client representative will be able to attend this dinner free of charge. After presenting your project, you and your client will be presented with plaques honoring both of you for your dedication to innovative design and incorporating ASHRAE standards. Last year this dinner was held at the Anheuser Busch Biergarten. Stay tuned for where this year’s event will be held! Chapter winners will then have the option of competing at the Regional level and Regional winners will have the honor of competing at the Society level.
