Eric was born in St Louis, MO on Sept. 7, 1970 and died at his home in Oklahoma City, OK on Aug. 1, 2022.
After graduating from Granite City Senior High in 1988, Eric went on to earn an Associates Degree in HVAC from Ranken Tech in St Louis, MO. Eric joined the US Army as a Combat Engineer and was a decorated combat veteran of Desert Storm. After his service, Eric moved to the Rolla, MO area, but eventually returned to his hometown where he completed his Bachelors Degree in Mechanical Engineering from Southern Illinois University at Edwardsville. He focused on building his Engineering career, settling down in Collinsville IL and eventually buying his first home in Troy, IL. He served in the engineering association known as ASHRAE and held a Professional Engineer title. He was always community-focused and proudly served as an active member of the Troy IL VFW. Eric enjoyed stamp collecting and was an animal lover who adored his rescue dogs Abby and Ollie. He and his dearest companion cat, Patches, moved to Oklahoma to continue his career in Engineering. Eric was intensely interested in Politics and firmly believed in the Made in USA Movement.
He was preceded in death by his father Olen E. Rogers in 1992; and his dear mother, Dorothy Frances Serafin Rogers in 2005.
He is survived by his sister, Amber M. Rogers of Quincy, Il; and his nephew Jake N. Evans of Joliet, IL.
Eric was afforded cremation rights and will be laid to rest in Jefferson Barracks National Cemetery in St Louis, MO on Aug 19, 2022. A graveside memorial service will be conducted at 1pm. All friends are welcome to attend.
