Participants will learn about the properties and efficiency of A2L refrigerants, explore the necessary equipment modifications for safe use, and understand updated installation standards and best practices. Additionally, the course addresses risk mitigation strategies, including leak prevention and the implementation of emergency protocols to ensure safety in systems using A2L refrigerants.
Understand New Regulations
- Explain the goals and timelines of the AIM Act, including the phasedown of HFCs.
- Assess the transition to low-GWP refrigerants, specifically A2Ls
Analyze A2L Refrigerants
- Understand the properties of A2L refrigerants, including mild flammability and lower GWP.
- Evaluate the performance and efficiency of A2Ls compared to traditional refrigerants.
Explore Equipment Requirements
- Identify safety features required for A2L-compatible equipment, such as leak detectors and ventilation systems.
