Speaker: Phil Wentz, PE , Vice President + Principal + Electrical + Acoustical at McClure Engineering

This presentation is designed to provide basic knowledge and application of electrical systems and components for HVAC designers and contractors.
SPEAKER

Mr. Wentz is a true multi-discipline, hands-on engineer and has been responsible for the project management on a variety of projects including the entire MEP scope for several major campus and industrial projects. His career started as an electrical engineer focusing on acoustical and theatrical design. Mr. Wentz joined McClure Engineering in 1998 and immediately began actively designing building electrical systems and medium voltage campus distribution. He was promoted to Principal in 2003 where he was in charge of mechanical and electrical commissioning for McClure for several years. He currently leads McClure’s specialty consulting team. He can typically be found on McClure’s special projects ranging from electrical, mechanical and control troubleshooting to advanced acoustical, electrical and communication system design. Mr. Wentz has also lectured at seminars for the American Society of Heating, Refrigerating, and Air-Conditioning Engineers (ASHRAE), the American Institute of Architects (AIA), the American Council of Engineering Companies (ACEC), the Electrical Board of Missouri and Illinois (EBMI), the Missouri Chapter of the Association of Physical Plant Administrators (MOAPPA), National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA), the Plumbing Industry Council, and International Facility Managers Association (IFMA).
