Tech Session & Main Session: Ennobling Spirited Leadership: Becoming a Leader of Influence
Overview: Learn to exceptionally communicate your message by applying the refined nuances that inspire, transform, and ennoble those with whom you converse. Through this communicative process, acquire practical skills necessary to differentiate and lead extraordinarily.
Learning Objectives:
• Participants will learn specific nonverbal and vocal communication competencies to strengthen relationships, enhance client satisfaction, and achieve organizational objectives more compellingly.
• Participants will practice nonverbal and vocal behaviors that demonstrate warmth and trustworthiness, hallmarks of influential leadership, and how they blend with content to persuade and influence listeners.

Leah C. Lorendo, Ph.D., CCC-SLP

Founder and Principal
Leah has 22 years experience as an executive coach, working with senior
leaders from various industries in Fortune 500 companies. She guides her
clients to focus on elements of communication that result in immediate
changes in presence and influence, and long-term enhancements in
leadership capabilities. As a certified and licensed Speech-Language
Pathologist, she has unique skills to coach professionals to utilize
their most influential leadership voice.
Leah is an Adjunct Instructor in the School of Engineering and Applied
Sciences, and is also an instructor in the Technology and Leadership
Center, both in the School of Engineering and Applied Science at
Washington University in St. Louis.
She serves as Secretary on the Board of Directors of All Among Us,
Leah holds a Ph.D. in Health Care Administration from the University of
Mississippi, as a Phi Kappa Phi scholar, and a Master’s in
Organizational Development and Leadership from Regis University, with
Honors. She also holds a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology, from
Auburn University, where she was recognized as one of 400 Women of
Excellence on the 100th anniversary of the admission of women.
Thomas Gregory, M.A.

Founder and Principal
Thomas has 22 years experience in business consulting and executive
coaching, with the ultimate objective of developing exceptional leaders
who are extraordinary, spirited leaders.
Thomas is an Adjunct Instructor at Washington University in St. Louis,
in the School of Engineering and Applied Science.
Thomas is sought after for his ability to guide others in finding their
“Way of Proceeding”.
Thomas serves on the Board of Directors, Catholic Charities. He is Past
President of the Board of Directors, Nurses for Newborns Foundation. He
is a graduate of Leadership St. Louis, Class of 2009-2010 and is
passionate about servant leadership. He is a recent graduate of Focus
St. Louis’ Diversity Leadership Fellowship.
He received his B.A. from DePauw University, Greencastle, Indiana and a
Master’s in Strategic Communication and Leadership from Seton Hall
University, South Orange, New Jersey.
