Jeff Kelley with Lockheed Martin will present how engineers can include the energy program in their daily lives.

Main Session: Chilled Beam System Design

Eric Krieg will discuss design basics for chilled beam systems.  He has completed the design of a chilled beam system at University of Michigan and is currently leading the design of a system for a private university in Chicago.

Speaker for Tech Session: Jeff Kelley
Business Development Lead – Lockheed Martin Energy Services

Jeff Kelley is a graduate from Saint Louis University that serves as business development lead for the Ameren Missouri BizSavers Program.  Jeff’s role is intended to publicize and outreach to engineers in the built environment that design mechanical, controls, and lighting systems.  He also reaches out to large energy users in the eastern Missouri area.  Jeff previously had worked at a local fuel utility company.

Speaker for Main Session: Eric Krieg
Mechanical Engineer – SmithGroupJJR

Eric Krieg is a mechanical engineer with SmithGroupJJR in Chicago, Illinois.  After obtaining his Bachelors of Science in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan, he began his career as an engineer in the architecture and engineering design industry working for a prominent higher education and K-12 design firm.  As of this year, he has been in the design industry for 9 years and has worked on higher education, commercial/retail and healthcare projects.  The size and scope of projects he’s designed, managed and/or modeled ranges from 500 SF tenant fit-outs to 1,000,000 SF commercial/residential high rise buildings.  His focus has been on designing integrated and sustainable buildings utilizing building information management software, new technologies and energy modeling.  He’s a licensed mechanical engineer and also an ASHRAE certified Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP).  When not designing high-performing mechanical systems for buildings, he enjoys playing basketball and golf and exploring Chicago’s neighborhoods.
