On July 22th and 23rd I attended a Regional Training Workshop in Chicago held for Research Promotion Chairs throughout the Midwest. We spent two days brainstorming and discussing ideas, as well as talking about what has and hasn’t worked in the past.
As we move forward this year, one thing we want to stress is doing a better job of advertising where the money actually goes. So I will be working with the national office to get details on the various research projects that are being funded, and provide the local chapter this information. We will also put links to these projects on our local site so that anyone can access them.
On top of this, we will also be hosting another AFTER PARTY next summer for the Regional ASHRAE CRC Meeting, which is being held in STL. More details on this will be announced later this fall. Also…do NOT miss the November Chapter meeting where we will be recognizing our major donors from last year! Please feel free to contact me with any ideas or if you would like to get involved….always looking for Committee Members.
