ASHRAE Handbooks: The ASHRAE Handbook is published in a series of four volumes, one of which is revised each year, ensuring that no volume is older than four years.

2014 ASHRAE Handbook – Refrigeration
2015 ASHRAE Handbook – HVAC Applications
2016 ASHRAE Handbook – HVAC Equipment & Applications
2017 ASHRAE Handbook – Fundamentals

Each volume is available in I-P (Inch-Pound) or SI (System International) units of measurement. Handbooks are issued to Member & Associate grades in June annually. For example, if you join/renew ASHRAE in September, you will receive your Handbook the following June. If you join in May, you will receive your Handbook the next month. New members may purchase the previous year ASHRAE Handbook at a discount.

New Member and Associates grades don’t have to wait until June to have access to the ASHRAE Handbook. Within 24 hours of joining ASHRAE, new members receive a complimentary 12-month subscription to ASHRAE Handbook Online, which allows search of all four volumes in I-P and SI units.

ASHRAE Handbook Online: Available for free with Member & Associate grades in place of current year print edition. Additional $33 to receive both current year print edition and 12 month subscription to Handbook Online.

Periodicals: ASHRAE Journal (monthly), High Performance Buildings (quarterly), ASHRAE Insights (bi-monthly), ASHRAE HVAC&R Industry Newsletter (weekly emails), and Science & Technology for the Built Environment (semi-annual, free for online edition only)

Membership Toolkit

Each month across the globe, ASHRAE members are faced with the decision to pay for membership out of their own pocket, or request support from their employer. This can be an awkward position to be in, especially for new employees.
