TECHNICAL SESSION
“Refrigeration 401” by Tom Mathews
This presentation provides a technical review of ways to improve energy efficiency for refrigeration systems. Tom will provide an in depth review regarding the effects of system components and selection.
About the Speaker:
Tom Mathews has an extensive background with supermarket refrigeration, HVAC, and controls. Prior to starting his own company in 2007, he has held several roles and responsibilities for other organizations. From 1991 thru 1997 he served as the Director of Engineering for Hannaford Brothers, Company, a major East Coast supermarket chain. From 2004 thru 2007 he worked for Emerson Climate Technologies as a VP in Business Development.
DINNER SESSION
“What to Expect from an EPA Inspection” by Keilly Witman
This presentation will identify probable causes and outcomes of an EPA inspection for refrigeration systems. Keilly will discuss the importance of refrigerant management and accurate record keeping. She will also touch on legal impacts for these inspections.
About the Speaker:
Keilly Witman is currently the owner of KW Refrigerant Management Strategy, LLC, a consulting firm that helps the supermarket industry manage the many challenges with refrigeration restrictions. Prior to starting her firm, Keilly ran the EPA’s GreenChill Partnership which grew to encompass 8,500 supermarkets nationally.
