Congratulations! The St. Louis Chapter of ASHRAE is among the 30 ASHRAE Chapters who have established named Endowed Research Funds. The St. Louis Chapter ASHRAE will be recognized, at the Central Regional Conference, with a patch to commemorate our initial gift.
Our chapter made an initial donation of $3,000 to the Harry “Hank” Sauer Memorial Research Fund in 2009.
Donations by the St. Louis Chapter, Chapter Members, Friends, and Dr. Sauer’s Family, have increased the value, and the fund total, as of December 31st 2011 is $13,874.57.
The memorial acts as an annuity, returning 5% every year to go towards the chapter goal for raising funds to support ASHRAE Research projects. This means the memorial fund is currently contributing an annualized value of $693.73 towards our chapter research promotion goal.
