4:00- 7:15 pm Tour, Two Presentations and Special Dinner (1.0 PDH)

We look forward to seeing ASHRAE and SMACNA members and guests at this informative event. 

Instructors from the Local 36 Sheet Metal Workers Joint Apprenticeship and Training Program will take us on a tour of the existing training school and we will learn about the unique and extensive training they provide to their union members.  

Dan Andrews, Training Coordinator for Local 36 Sheet Metal Workers, will present on the new union hall and training school building that is in design.  The Local 36 will renovate the former Missouri Boiler building on the northeast corner of Jefferson and Chouteau avenues to develop a new state-of-the-art, 96,000 square-foot campus.

Kevin Cook, Murphy Company, will present to us on Building Information Modeling (BIM) which is a powerful collaboration tool used throughout the design and construction process.  Each member of the team can participate and benefit from the use of this technology, including the owner, architect, engineer, and contractor.  This presentation will demonstrate the benefits of utilizing BIM from a contractor’s perspective.

Registration for ASHRAE members and guests may be limited to the first 80 reservations received after which reservations will be accepted for the 5:45 pm BIM presentation and dinner only and no PDH will be available to those attendees.

You will be assigned a group when you register and a shuttle bus will transport groups to the three sessions and back to union hall for dinner. Please do not park at the training school.  Please consider carpooling to this meeting since parking lot spaces are limited to around 70 spaces.

To receive 1.0 PDH, you must attend both 30 minute presentations.
